Oops, We Did it Again.

With @supercellsid as my Twitter handle, it wasn’t too surprising I went nuts over this new series from our listener and good friend of the show, Laurie (@haveteacup). We will let her tell the full story on her blog, but she has been starting to discover her photo DNA and this journey has led her to an incredible treasure, wonderfully named, The Thelma Files. Make sure y’all check out her blog and Instagram for more goodness on this series about her grandmother, a photographer and storm enthusiast!

SmugMug + Flickr = True Love?

It is no secret to many that SmugMug has scooped up the often-neglected photography sharing site and community, Flickr. What exactly does this mean for Flickr members? Is this a match made in heaven or does it spell the end of the Flickr we once knew and loved? Please join us as we discuss Sidnados, SmugMug, voices in your photography and more (inspiration vs. appreciation, y’all!). You can also listen to our Mac have a great discussion about this new SmugMug + Flickr journey on the excellent podcast, Cybrcast, episode 091.

Episode 42 ~ Sharing, Printing, and Selling

Episode 42 ~ Sharing, Printing, and Selling

Shutter Time With Sid and Mac Episode 42 ~ Sharing, Printing, and SellingMmmm, Fresh Gear

Before we dive in the ol’ SPS pool (that’s Sharing, Printing, and Selling), we have to chat about some fresh gear. Nikon announced their new Nikkor 70-200mm f/4 G ED VR AF-S, but what really caught my interest was a tweet from the fine folks at Borrow Lenses! Spotting a Canon lens in the wild is exciting for those of us who haven’t heard anything about this particular lens since last year. Oh, mama.

Making Some Cash

Because this is a more lengthly topic, after a little gear speculation and swoon, we go straight for the goods, and the pros and cons of sharing, printing and selling! While there are many options out there, we chose 6 companies and did a little research on the benefits of using these methods t0 get a little coin for your hard camera work.

Have a listen, take some notes and see what best works for you!

Bits n’ Bites

Are you interested in the new Nikon and Canon lenses? Are you members of any of the orgs we discussed on the show? If so, link us up and show off your work and please let us know how the sites are working for you.

As always, we’re on Facebook, Twitter, G+ and iTunes!

Thanks as always for tuning in. We appreciate the continued support and still tingle to this day when we think about it!

Cheers, y’all!

Grizzly and wolf by Rob Daugherty (aka Robswildlife)

Before we get rolling with our interview with @Robswildlife, there we a few other things on our mind, such as the rumours swirling about the Sony NEX systems, Photokina and more.

Some news has been announced from SmugMug which are leaving some customers / users feeling a little muggy … We talk about what’s the haps at the Smug Camp.

We couldn’t resist asking Rob Daugherty, better known as Robswildlife or The Vest Guy, to drop by the ol’ Shutter Time bunker for a chat about his work and his undeniable passion for wildlife. So. Much. Fun. Sit back and enjoy and soak up the goodness of all things Rob.

Bits ‘n Bites

Are you currently using SmugMug for your photography, whether to sell or just to share? What are your thoughts on the price increase? Will you be sticking around or jumping ship? Will you be paying attention to Photokina and if so, what announcements are you hoping for? Let us know! Thanks again to Rob for the great chat!

Keeping It Social

As always, you can find us hanging out in the hallowed halls of Google +, roaming the corridors of Facebook, and chirping at Twitter. Please drop by and say howdy and let’s chat about all things photography! We appreciate the interaction we’ve been having with our listeners of late, so please keep it up! Don’t forget to subscribe for free at iTunes.

Thanks for tuning in!

Cheers, y’all!
