Grizzly and wolf by Rob Daugherty (aka Robswildlife)

Before we get rolling with our interview with @Robswildlife, there we a few other things on our mind, such as the rumours swirling about the Sony NEX systems, Photokina and more.

Some news has been announced from SmugMug which are leaving some customers / users feeling a little muggy … We talk about what’s the haps at the Smug Camp.

We couldn’t resist asking Rob Daugherty, better known as Robswildlife or The Vest Guy, to drop by the ol’ Shutter Time bunker for a chat about his work and his undeniable passion for wildlife. So. Much. Fun. Sit back and enjoy and soak up the goodness of all things Rob.

Episode 35 ~ Moose Musings: Interview With Moose Peterson

Episode 35 ~ Moose Musings: Interview With Moose Peterson

Alaskan Moose by Moose Peterson

Moose Peterson, Y’all!

We did it. We had wildlife / aviation photographer, Moose Peterson, visit the Shutter Time bunker for a chat. Seriously. Moose Peterson. Our listeners are well aware of my appreciation for Moose and not only his photography, but his dedication to preserving our wild heritage, which is so important to us all. Imagine my delight when he so graciously agreed to give us a couple hours of his time and have a chat about all things photography and wildlife. Even though we (okay, mostly me) were tongue-tied throughout much of the interview and stumbled a few times, his words were able to trump any of those moments. I’m not alone in my admiration, as Mac jumped on board as well after this interview. Moose is just that good; even boudoir, portrait and all other photographers will learn something from this podcast.

Oh. Murphy.

I’ve been waiting a long time for this moment …. Mac and I have recorded dozens of shows and for the first time, we experienced sheer recording failure on 2/3 computers. Murphy and his law patiently waited, stalked and then pounced the moment we heard Moose say, “howdy folks!” Bear with us, as the audio isn’t at our usual best, but I’m thinking you will probably become lost in the interview and not even notice. Even Murphy’s Law couldn’t stop us, yo!

Bits ‘n Bites

This is not the time to be shy, y’all! What did you think of our chat with Moose? Did his words and passion resonate with you and how you view your photography? Are you a wildlife photographer or wildlife conservationist? Do tell! We’d love your feedback.

As always, you can find us hanging around the web, such as Twitter, Facebook, Google Plus, and of course, iTunes, where you can subscribe to the show for free.

Thanks again to Moose for chilling with us, teaching us a few things and spreading the good word of photography. It was brilliant.

Thanks for tuning in, folks!

Cheers, y’all!

Episode 12 ~ Watermarks, Yo!

Episode 12 ~ Watermarks, Yo!

Our New Crush

Here at Shutter Time, we’re always on the lookout for photography goodness that can curl our toes, or at the very least, spark enough interest so we can talk about it on the show. Who knew it would come in the form of a video this week, MWACattack!?!

Walking On Water

Okay, so we can’t walk on water, but what about marking with it? While the topic of watermarking your images is not as titillating as the ol’ Canon vs. Nikon debate, it’s still a topic that brings out the claws in some photographers. Have a listen as we discuss just this and more in episode 12!.

Bits n’ Bites

The holidays are almost here, with last minute shoppers scrambling in order to find the perfect gift. Have a listen to Episode 9 if you need some inspiration for surprising your favorite photographer in your world!

Thanks for tuning in, y’all!

Episode 11 ~ Ethically Speaking

Episode 11 ~ Ethically Speaking

Rules of Conduct

As we all know, ethics play a large part in not only our daily lives, but in photography as well. Mac wrangled up a panel of photography enthusiasts to discuss just this and more. Joining him is Jennifer Plant, a very promising amateur photographer, whose specialty is dog portraits. She is joined by her husband, Dustin Plant, who doesn’t really consider himself a photographer, but is well versed on the subject. Rounding out the crew is Kasia Sokulska, who just started out with photography herself and is starting to take the world of Flickr by storm.

Bits ‘n Bites

My thanks to Jennifer, Dustin and Kasia for pitching in and filling in for me this week! Y’all did a great job and we hope you visit us again on the show.

Have you ever found yourself in a situation where you put your feelings aside and moved ahead with telling a story with your camera? Don’t be shy and tell us about it!

Thanks for tuning in, y’all!
