Moonrise Over Brooklyn

We have been discussing photography books on and off the show for years, however, it was during Antonio’s deep dive (thanks to Ward for the description) of Irving Penn that shifted our conversation with one of our listeners and great friend of the show, Ward Rosin. Thanks to his wonderful insight on photography books, we knew we had to take to the mics to discuss this further with no one better suited than Ward and Antonio. Please join us as we learn about the inspiration we can get from photography books and how the style and art from these photographers influences our own photography and the mind-to-camera connection.

“Inspiration comes from photo books and the history of photography and photographers.” – Ward Rosin, 2018

Still Inspired by Darkness?

Our follow-up to episode 193 is finally here. We had received a number of messages asking for further clarification about how someone can be inspired after viewing a photograph telling a story of tragedy and darkness. Please join us as we tackle this tricky subject!

Thanks to our listeners who chimed in and challenged us to revisit this subject. This is what the podcast is all about: to keep the conversation about all things photography going. Comments and questions = more discussion.

Huge thanks to those who sent a message and to our mystery caller *wink*. We hope this helps clear things up!

We Missed Him.

It has been too long since we have had him on the show, so when we decided on this topic, we knew we wanted him to join in! Naturally, we are talking about our great friend, some know him as Usually ‘Happy’ Dave, swizzbob, or better yet because he answers the bat signal, Batman. That’s right … you know him, you love him, and he’s baaaack!

We Are Listening!

Big thanks to our new friend, Laurie, for the show idea. We have not done this for a while, so right away we knew we needed to have a fresh 2018 version! Please join us as we, along with Usually ‘Happy‘ Dave, discuss some of our most inspirational photographers! We hope everyone enjoys the list and y’all discover some new photographers.
