You Can’t Stop Him
He’s back once again! Okay, this is because we keep bringing him back on the show as we love talking all things photography with him. You may know him as our brother from another mother, one-half of the ultra good-looking duo of the Street Shots podcast, Antonio M. Rosario from Switch to Manual.

Code of Ethics
Ethics in our everyday world are becoming more important, and photography is no exception. With so many questions about ethical photography, we decided to invite Antonio to hit the mics with us and tackle this never-ending subject. Please join us as we have a slice of gear chat and then dive right in to the topic of ethical photography.

Join the Convo
Do you have an idea of where ethics belong in photography? Is it genre specific to do you think it applies to anything and everyone we photograph? We would love to hear your thoughts on this topic! You can chime in and find us on Twitter and Bookface. You can also subscribe to the show for free via iTunes or Stitcher. If you would like to support the show and help with some of the costs of running this podcast, please check us out on Patreon (any support is appreciated!).

Huge thanks to Antonio for dropping by for a visit and another great chat. Do yourselves a favour and check out his personal work as well as the Switch to Manual site, including the awesome Street Shots podcast!

Thanks so much as always for tuning in, friends!

Cheers, y’all!

4 Chaps + One Lucky Woman

We were lucky enough to have 3 of our favourite photographers and friends of the show on for a good chat. It was our first show with 5 people and we had a blast recording and of course, chatting post-show. Antonio M. Rosario, Bryan Minear, and Dave Szweduik joined Mac and myself to continue the conversation from our last show, episode 172 »» Making a Splash and Giving It Away for Free. The show idea came from Antonio as he live-tweeted whilst listening to our show, with Bryan and Dave joining in on the Twitter chat. Thankfully these chaps were free and next thing we knew, we were all rocking the mics together. Please join us as we carry on the conversation!

We’d love to hear your thoughts on this topic – what do you feel the pros and cons of joining sites like Unsplash are? Do you feel as a photographer, you have any responsibility to other photographers, and even ‘the industry‘ itself? Please chime in and join the convo! You can find us on Twitter and Bookface and here on the blog. Of course you can subscribe for free via iTunes or Stitcher!

After 170+ episodes, we have decided to enter the Patreon world, and if you’re so inclined, we would love and appreciate any support. We still need to tinker with the page a bit, however we are up and running! Longtime listeners know we refer to you/them as our sponsors, and this will never change. Most importantly, Mac and I appreciate the support all listeners give us by tuning in and interacting with us, as well as other listeners. Your ears and your time = your true sponsorship.

Huge thanks to Antonio, Bryan, and Dave for clearing your schedules and coming back on the show. These 3 chaps are some of the loveliest, talented, and genuine good guys around and it’s always a blast and rather humbling when they come back on the show. Please take some time to look at their work if you haven’t done so yet (links below).

Thanks again to Antonio for live-tweeting our last episode and for the show idea for 172.

Thanks for tuning in, folks!

Cheers, y’all!

Runaway Co-Host

Ah, we are missing our Mac this episode because he is away on holiday making images with his family and one of our fabulous listeners and good friend of the show, Dom. They have been tearing up the Canadian Rockies and having a great time. Thankfully one of our brothers from another mother, Antonio, from the Switch to Manual Network and Street Shots podcast, graciously accepted my begging and pleading to come on the show and fill in for Mac. Thank you, Antonio!

Inspired by episode 54 of Street Shots, we decided to take to our mics to tackle the interesting question – or perhaps more of an observation, our photo DNA. Please join us as we try to determine what exactly is our photo DNA and where it comes from.

Do you know what your photo DNA is? If not, do you think it’s important as photographers for us to figure it out? What should we be doing with this knowledge once we do? We would love for you to chime in! You can find us on Bookface or Twitter, here on the blog, and of course you can subscribe for free for more Shutter Time goodness via iTunes or Stitcher.

Huge thanks to Antonio for bringing a little New York to the show and pitch-hitting for Mac, and for being a fabulous co-host. #fantastico Please make sure you check out his work, and his podcast he co-hosts with our other brother, Tom, Street Shots! You will not be disappointed!

Another big thanks to our Mac, who upon returning home from vacation, donned his red cape and swooped in to fix the post-production hell I was finding myself in. Let’s blame user error (me), Uncle Murphy (stalker and devil), and of course, crashing software (cough, Adobe). Mac –> our hero.

You can check out Mac’s southern Alberta / Canadian Rockies adventures via Twitter! We just need to wait for him to develop his film! #filmisnotdead, right, Mac?

Thanks so much for being patient for this episode to drop, all the messages, and most of all, for tuning in!

Cheers, y’all!

He’s Baaaaack …

You know him. You still love him. One of our brothers from another mother, the outspoken half of the Street Shots podcast, Antonio M. Rosario, joins us once again for another fun episode. Side note: we MISS you, Tom.

Thanks to a PetaPixel article, we continue the conversation on killing street photography and ask ourselves if we are all guilty of this crime. Say it isn’t so!

Killing street photography – is this continued chatter about the slaughter of a genre many of us love taking it too far? If so, what can we as an industry do about it? If not, please tell us why you think there is really only a bark, but very little bite to this popular opinion. We’d love to hear your thoughts! Please chime in on our blog, Twitter and Bookface. As always, you can subscribe for free via iTunes and Stitcher!

Photokina 2016

Sadly, we were not there (now that would be cool), however we decided to join heads and chat about some of the Photokina announcements which piqued our interest the most. Fuji may or may not make an appearance in the discussion. Please join us as we have gear chat and more!

Photokina has now wrapped up – what have been your highlights from the announcements? Any gear that has you dreaming of an upgrade? What are your thoughts on the medium format system from Fuji? Is this something you’re interested in? We’d love to hear your thoughts! Please chime in on our blog, Twitter and Bookface. As always, you can subscribe for free via iTunes and Stitcher!
