Is photoshop going to die?

by Kasia & Mac Sokulski | Shutter Time

About This Episode

Our friend, a great photographer and long time friend of the show Michael Van Der Tol, gave us an interesting, albeit click baity article to discuss on the the show.  It was written for fstoppers by Paul Parker and it’s titled “The Deathe of Photoshop: A warning to photographers“.

In a nutshell photoshop is just a tool to edit and create art from your photographs.  It’s not the only tool.  The rise of AI and machine photography (like with cell phones creating fake depth of field) is not going to impact your creativity.  Technology is getting better and better, it’s evolving.  There is nothing wrong with that.  If you don’t like it, find an old camera and use that with everything set to manual. Please listen to the show for more points on this article.

Thank you Michael for the topic!

Enjoy, and we will talk to you next week!
