Young and the Restless, 20 years later

by Kasia & Mac Sokulski | Shutter Time

About This Episode

When we were young, and didn’t have kids we took spontaneous trips to the mountains all the time.  Now about 20 years later, kids are much older, we decided to take one of those trips.  Left a little late in the morning, around 10am, but we figured it could be a nice day for a sunset.

It was a beautiful sunny and warm day, but like with any of our trip we had some technical difficulties.  We had to say goodbye to Kasia’s Fuji 10-24.  I dropped my Fuji X100s from few feet and made a little ding in it. Overall sunset came out pretty good.  We found a good location.

On the way back we were stopped because a forest fire closed the highway home.  Luckily the wind shifted, and the wait was only 30-40 min.  Also we were treated with a beautiful northern lights.

Overall the trip was great, and we highly recommend  just jumping into your car and go somewhere and explore.  Choose a minimalistic style with 1 camera 1 lens, or take all your gear.  Just go on an adventrure!

Talk to you next week.
