We Missed Him.

It has been too long since we have had him on the show, so when we decided on this topic, we knew we wanted him to join in! Naturally, we are talking about our great friend, some know him as Usually ‘Happy’ Dave, swizzbob, or better yet because he answers the bat signal, Batman. That’s right … you know him, you love him, and he’s baaaack!

We Are Listening!

Big thanks to our new friend, Laurie, for the show idea. We have not done this for a while, so right away we knew we needed to have a fresh 2018 version! Please join us as we, along with Usually ‘Happy‘ Dave, discuss some of our most inspirational photographers! We hope everyone enjoys the list and y’all discover some new photographers.

Tripods … Cya?

Ah, Zion National Park in Utah has now updated their ‘no tripod‘ zone policy when it comes to workshops in the park. You can check out the restrictions at the NPS site for Zion. Is this a good idea and how will it affect your photography?

He Does It Again

Olaf, our Godfather of photography, on his blog has once again sparked a great topic faced by many new photographers: choosing your genre and finding your style. This blog post is a must read, and we thank Olaf for the show inspiration once again. Please join as we chat about Mac’s new toy (F is for Fuji), tripods, methane bubbles and secret locations, photography styles, genres and more!

We would love to hear your thoughts on this show. What is your opinion of the rules in Zion with regards to tripod? Are you hoping this rule makes its way to all national parks? What do you think about the challenges faced by new photographers, such as their style and more? What is your recommendation for new photographers? Episode 177 »» New Year :: Our Photography Goals and More

2018, Y’all

Happy new year, y’all! Thanks for joining us for a new year and more podcasts! We discuss our photography goals and plans for 2018, and more! Mac also shares his thoughts on a new book discussed during our last episode, Seeking Stillness, from Olivier Du Tré.

Hahaha, Canon

There was a slight faux pas on Canon’s part of late regarding a Canon + Fuji image, so we briefly talk about it and have a chuckle. You can check out the photography of Elia Locardi here! Definitely worth having a look!

Speaking of Canon …

I continue my Canon battery rant as I am still unable to find a new battery compatible to my obsolete, but still a cracker of a camera, the EOS 1D Mark III body. After the show, I gave up the battle and realized I will have to buy a new battery + charger to keep using my body. Boo, Canon.
