Landscape Photography’s Fate … Sort Of.

We feel we’ve been drowning in gear chat of late on the show, so we’ve switched gears a bit. Mmmm … gear.  An article written by Alex Mody had us scratching our heads, trying to understand the article and his train of thought, and more importantly, he got us thinking about where the industry is today and the 6 points he feels will make us less grumpy about where landscape photography is going.

Being the fans of discussion that we are, we took his 6 points and dissected them. We wrap up the show with a most interesting comment from a viewer of Scott Kelby’s show, The Grid, episode 129.

Bits ‘n Bites

We’d love to know your thoughts on the 6 points from the article. Do you agree with them? What else could you add to the list for not only landscape photography, but any genre, really? If you have a chance to listen to The Grid, we’d also love to know what you think of viewer, JWPhoto’s comments. I personally think he nailed it!

Episode 75 »» All Things Fuji X-T1, Fuji X-seriesIt’s Fuji Time

Let’s just be honest. This show is basically all about the Fuji X-T1 with some other gear chat thrown in / compared to, for good measure! Even though we may have questioned Fuji’s latest body when it was merely an anticipated announcement, and I think those clunky dials made Mac crinkle his nose, once the body was actually announced by Fuji folks, however, our attention was definitely piqued. I think I may have called the X-T1 the X-Ti from Canon during the show. Oops. 5 points for every time you catch us doing so.

Please sit back and have a listen as we chat about Fuji and how things continue to progress in the mirrorless system world of photography today. We’d love to know your thoughts on this camera — and any camera, really. Are you shooting with micro four-thirds, mirrorless or the SLRs / DSLRs? Have you considered completely switching systems or possibly acquiring more gear to be able to shoot the best of all worlds? If you’re a Fuji fan, we’re curious about your thoughts on their latest body and the number of lenses expected to come our way.

Join the Convo

We’ve been incredibly quiet on the social media front of late, but this will definitely change as we go forward. You can find us on Twitter, Facebook, Google Plus (haha, no, really) and of course, you can find us on Stitcher and iTunes, where you can subscribe for free!

Thanks as always for tuning in, folks! We truly appreciate y’all sticking around for 75 shows! We promise we’ll have many more shows where Fuji doesn’t even make an appearance for you non-F folks. Pinky swear.

Cheers, y’all!
